It’s seems Call of Duty 4 has finally been put on the back burner at Infinity Ward. We shouldn’t expect Call of Duty 4 Patch 1.8 anytime soon unless a massive bug or exploit emerges. We have nothing to really complain about though, Infinity Ward has been generous in patches so far and I think most fans would agree it’s time to go full force on the next Call of Duty. Sure I would love if the server browser sucked ass a little less, but it’s not that bad. As for the highly requested Call of Duty TV (CODTV) it probably isn’t coming anytime soon either.
Most anti-cheat issues can be delivered via the PunkBuster plugin and people can make their own maps and mods themselves. If you want a new feature just make it yourself.
Consolers: Expect the COD4 patches to stop once playlists are here as well. Playlists are coming soon — they’re being tested and tweaked as we speak.

Yeah, if the next CoD is even good.

“unless a massive bug or exploit emerges”
What about the iw3mp.exe crashing on so many peoples PCs. Some people have purchased the game and never been able to play it on multiple PCs. That sounds like a massive bug to me. Don’t believe me? Just run a search on iw3mp.exe.

This is easily fixed if you had actually read the posts on this glitch instead of just complaining about it..
