Today Square Enix will be outlining it’s plan to takeover struggling developer Tecmo. Acquiring Tecmo would help Square Enix obtain a bigger share in the US market. Square Enix relies mainly on RPGs, whereas as Tecmo has varying titles such as Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive. Today, Microsoft announced that Tecmo’s Ninja Gaiden 2 has sold over 1 million copies in less than two months.
Square Enix has announced that it has offered a 30 percent premium on Tecmo’s shares. Tecmo has until September 4 to accept or deny the offer.
