Today, Harmonix released the Rock Band Song Exporter for 400 MP Points. Harmonix originally said the transfer would take over 6GB of hard-drive space, but in reality it now only takes 1.5GB. The Rock Band Exporter will allow you to use the songs from Rock Band in Rock Band 2.
You can transfer all but 3 songs, “Paranoid” by Black Sabbath, “Run to the Hills” by Iron Maiden, and “Enter Sandman” by Metallica. Metallica has decided not to allow sharing of their song.
